The clinic teaches the procedure to itself as a four-step sequence, and one of the three resident directors runs all four with you.
Marking happens while you are upright, because fat hangs differently once you lie down. The director outlines each palm-sized area against the balance of the whole silhouette and the curve you want, reviews your goals and medical history in the same sitting, and leaves you to think about it. The consultation costs nothing and nobody is asked to commit that day.
Local anaesthetic is placed across the marked zones. You stay conscious, you can listen to music, and you can tell the director what you are feeling while the work goes on, which is part of why the clinic works this way. Sedation is available as an option at an additional cost for patients who would find the session easier asleep.
The patented cannula travels the skin–fat layer first, scraping it so the tissue is prompted to tighten before any volume leaves. Machine extraction follows through the same micro-entry, the device holding a steady pull while the director shapes the line, and a final careful pass with the special cannula is used to even out the surface.

Jusa is the ordinary Korean word for a shot, and it stuck to this procedure because of how the visit looks from where the patient is lying. You come in, an area is numbed, something no wider than a needle goes through the skin, you get up and go home. English pages inherited the word, so people arrive typing G-fat injection or fat dissolving injection and find a procedure that empties an area instead of filling it.
Mechanically it runs backwards from an injectable. One micro-entry point is opened per treated area. A fine cannula passes through it, a dedicated suction device holds a steady negative pressure, and the fat cells travel out along the cannula into a large collection chamber, so nothing has to be swapped or refilled part-way through. Local anaesthetic keeps the area numb while you remain awake and able to speak to the director.
Two things follow from that. The volume is gone before you leave the building, because there is nothing left for your body to break down over the following weeks. And the unit of the whole plan is an area about the size of your palm, which is what gets designed, treated and quoted; the same zone on both sides of the body counts as two areas, and within a single area there is no ceiling on how much is taken.
The clinic describes its own history in three stages. The third is what you receive today.
The earliest version worked with hand-held negative pressure from a 50cc syringe. The pull was strongest while the barrel sat empty and slackened as fat filled it, so the pressure was never the same twice within one pass. Extraction came out uneven, the volume that could be taken in a sitting was limited, and patients frequently came back for repeat appointments.
A dedicated extraction device replaced the barrel. Pressure held steady, large volumes could be taken in a single sitting, and the repeat visits largely disappeared. One problem outlived the upgrade: empty a large area quickly and the skin above it can sit loose over the space the fat used to occupy, which is the drawback the clinic set out to solve next.
G-Lifting is the answer the clinic settled on, and it is the version performed now. A patented cannula, built with a scraping tip in place of a plain suction port, is passed through the skin–fat layer before extraction begins, prompting the tissue to tighten while the fat is still in place. Machine extraction then follows through the same entry point, so a large volume can leave while the skin is encouraged to re-adhere smoothly.
Cannula, device suction, one entry per area, local anaesthetic, volume out on the day. It is aimed at people carrying a defined quantity of fat in one place who want a large amount of it removed in a short time. It shapes a specific zone and it does not work as a weight-loss programme, which the directors say plainly at consultation.
The same extraction preceded by the patented cannula pass described above. The clinic’s Korean site presents it as the current default; how it applies to your own plan and quotation is something the director confirms with you, since it is listed on its own in the rate sheet.
Ultra G-fat pairs G-Tight with G-fat. G-Tight is the ultrasound side of the family: it breaks fat up so that the body drains it away, which puts it to work on re-treatment cases carrying adhesions or fibrous bands, on reduced skin elasticity, and on a double chin that has gone slack. In Ultra G-fat the LSSA ultrasound system performs the primary extraction and the G-fat cannula then refines the line; the clinic holds LSSA official certified-clinic status through Dr. Maeng Woo-jae. V-Tight is the version built for under the chin. A cannula is placed beneath the jaw, ultrasound melts the fat there, and the fat is then drawn out. The clinic describes it as a single visit with roughly twenty minutes of procedure time and the whole appointment finished inside an hour, which is a different rhythm from an injectable course of five or more weekly sessions.

Continuity counts for more here than it would with an injectable. The design is made on a body that is standing up, the plan gets adjusted while extraction is under way, and the person deciding a line is finished is the person who drew it in the first place. Consultations run in English on site, with messenger support in nine languages for patients arranging a trip. This is a minimally invasive procedure and it carries the risks that go with one. Bruising, swelling and tenderness over the treated area are expected through the first days, along with patches of numbness that take longer to fade. Less commonly patients develop surface irregularity, a fluid collection, firm nodules under the skin, skin laxity, temporary changes in skin sensation, infection at the entry point, or visible asymmetry between the two sides. A director goes through that list with you before you agree to anything.
Cases do get turned down, and it happens at consultation, before any deposit is taken. Pregnancy and breastfeeding rule the procedure out for the time being. Uncontrolled medical conditions are assessed and treatment waits until they are settled. Patients with a BMI of thirty or above are considered case by case, with a surcharge where treatment goes ahead. Where an area is mostly loose skin with very little fat left in it, taking out the small remainder would not improve it, and the director will say so and point towards G-Tight or a course of body care.
Share your full medical history, every medication and supplement you take, and any past reaction to anaesthetic. The cells extracted from a treated area do not come back, though the cells still in your body can enlarge if your weight climbs, so a steady weight is what protects the change. No one at this clinic will tell you the result is beyond the reach of future weight gain.
Most patients walk out unaided and get back to desk work or light errands the same day. Swelling and bruising build over the first two or three days and then recede; firmer zones can stay tender for a week or two, and the entry point is small enough to close quickly. Compression is worn for as long as the director specifies, and loose clothing makes that first week easier.
Body care is treated as part of the procedure here rather than an add-on, because a large extraction leaves work to do on the surface. The category this procedure belongs to, suction removal of fat with the patient awake under tumescent local anaesthesia, has been examined in the peer-reviewed literature for nearly three decades. One paper looked at skin retraction after liposuction in patients over the age of 40 (Bank, 1999), which is the question the G-Lifting pass is aimed at. Another reported that tumescent anaesthesia with a lidocaine dose of 55 mg/kg is safe for liposuction (Coleman, 1996), the finding that makes an awake appointment workable at all. A third examined the safety of liposuction using exclusively tumescent local anaesthesia across 3,240 consecutive cases (Habbema, 2009). These papers describe a method category. They are not statements about G Clinic’s own outcomes, and nothing in them forecasts what your own case will look like, which is a conversation for your director.
