Skin Booster Injections in Gangnam, Seoul — Rejuran Healer and the G Clinic Booster Menu

Planned and injected by Dr. Hong Seung-hyuk, Dr. Maeng Woo-jae, or Dr. Hong Yeong-ho — three medical directors on-site. A skin booster places regenerative material into the dermis to work on texture, hydration and the skin environment; it is a quality treatment, and your director will say plainly when a different tool suits your goal better.

What is a skin booster, and what does a Rejuran Healer injection actually do?

A skin booster is an injection that delivers regenerative or hydrating material straight into the dermis so the skin’s own condition improves from the inside. At G Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, the booster menu covers Rejuran Healer, Juvelook, Re2O and Belotero Revive, and a resident director matches the material to your skin type and current condition at consultation. Rejuran Healer uses a salmon-derived polynucleotide, known as PN, placed into the dermis across the treated zone. The appointment runs roughly 15 to 30 minutes after a numbing cream, you return to ordinary daily life the same day, and the small raised bumps the injections leave behind, often called embossing, settle within one to three days. Clinic guidance puts the effect at about three to six months, so boosters are planned as a course. What a booster works on is texture, hydration, pores and elasticity — it does not add volume or pull up a sagging line.

How It Works

A skin booster session in four steps.

Every booster consultation and every injection at G Clinic is handled by one of the three resident medical directors, not delegated to a technician.

  1. 01

    Skin reading and material choice

A director looks at how your skin behaves right now: how dry or oily it runs, how reactive it is, how the pores and fine surface lines sit under light. The booster menu is then narrowed to the material that fits that picture, and the number of visits worth planning is discussed openly before anything is agreed.

  2. 02

    Cleansing and numbing cream

Make-up and sunscreen are removed, the skin is cleansed, and a numbing cream is applied and left to take effect. You stay awake and can talk with the team throughout. Nothing about a booster appointment calls for sedation; where a patient asks for it alongside another procedure, it is an optional extra carried at additional cost.

  3. 03

    Dermal placement across the zone

The director works across the treated zone in a grid of shallow entries, keeping the depth in the dermis where the material is meant to sit. Rejuran Healer takes about 15 to 30 minutes for a standard facial zone. Depth and spacing are adjusted around thinner areas such as the under-eye and the jaw border.

  4. 04

    Same-day care and course mapping

Cooling is applied, aftercare is explained in English, and you leave able to go about your day. Before you go, the director maps out when the next visit makes sense and what to watch for in between, so a course is a plan you agreed to and not a package sold at the counter.

What It Is

What a skin booster injection changes — and what it leaves alone.

Topical skincare has to cross the barrier that your skin spends all day defending. A booster skips that argument: the active material is injected directly into the dermal layer, where the collagen scaffold, the moisture-holding structures and the small vessels that feed them actually live. That is the whole logic of the category, and the reason the clinic files these treatments under skin quality and keeps them apart from contouring.

The results people report from a booster course are the ones tied to skin condition: better moisture retention, a calmer oil-and-water balance, tidier pores, a smoother surface under make-up, more spring in the skin, and softer fine lines. On the clinic’s own Korean site the same list appears as hydration, texture, pore refinement, elasticity, radiance, tone and fine lines. Those are the realistic ceilings for the category.

What a booster does not do is equally worth saying at the start of a consultation. It is not a volumiser, so hollow temples or a flat mid-face will not fill because you injected a booster into them. It is not a lifting device, so a jawline that has descended will not be repositioned by dermal material. And it is not a scar revision or an acne treatment. Patients who arrive asking for one of those things are told so directly, and the conversation moves to whichever tool matches the goal, including body work such as G-fat Fat Dissolving Injection when the real concern turns out to be localized fat.

The Menu

The four skin boosters on the G Clinic menu.

Each material is chosen at consultation. The clinic does not run a single default booster that everybody receives.

Rejuran Healer — salmon-derived PN

The most requested booster on the menu, and the one most international patients arrive already searching for. The active material is a polynucleotide harvested from salmon, injected into the dermis to work on the skin environment itself. The clinic describes three effects in particular: rebalancing oil and moisture so excess sebum and pore appearance improve, supporting the skin’s own protective barrier where skin has turned sensitive and flushes easily, and restoring a dermal layer that has lost elasticity through ageing or irritation. A session runs about 15 to 30 minutes under numbing cream, daily life continues the same day, and the clinic puts the duration at roughly three to six months.

Juvelook — official certified clinic

G Clinic is a Juvelook Official Certified Clinic, certified by VAIM Global. That certification is a supplier-issued status for the product, and it is listed here as a plain fact about the clinic. Detailed protocol figures for Juvelook are not published on this page because the clinic has not released them for the international site, and this site does not invent numbers to fill a gap. Your director will walk through the specifics in person.

Re2O

Re2O is on the clinic’s booster menu. Published details for it are not yet confirmed for this site, so nothing further is stated here; ask about it directly at your consultation and the director will explain where it fits alongside the others.

Belotero Revive

Belotero Revive also sits on the menu as a booster option. As with Re2O, protocol detail is held back until the clinic signs it off for publication, so treat its presence here as a menu listing to raise in conversation and not as a specification.

The Visit

What a booster appointment feels like on the day.

Allow more clock time than the injection itself needs. The numbing cream has to sit on cleansed skin for a while before it is any use, so a 15 to 30 minute Rejuran Healer treatment usually turns into an hour or so in the building once cleansing, waiting, injection and cooling are counted. First-time patients spend longer again, because the consultation is unhurried and free.

The sensation is a series of quick shallow entries. Patients generally describe it as tolerable under the numbing cream, though few would call it comfortable, and sharper across bony areas such as the forehead and the jaw border, and easiest across the cheeks. You are awake the whole time and can ask the director to pause. Because you stay awake, you can also say when an area feels wrong, and the depth is adjusted immediately.

Afterwards, the treated skin looks flushed and slightly swollen, and the injection points sit as small raised bumps. That embossing is the ordinary and expected appearance of a booster session, and it is the reason so many patients schedule around a weekend or an evening flight.

Who It Suits

Good candidates for a booster course — and when a director says no.

Boosters suit people whose complaint is about skin condition: dryness that no cream settles, a rough surface that shows through foundation, enlarged-looking pores with oily patches, thin reactive skin that reddens at nothing, and early fine lines that appear when the skin is dehydrated. Long-haul travellers and patients coming out of a demanding winter often fall into exactly this group.

The directors at G Clinic decline or postpone booster treatment regularly, and it is better to know the reasons before you book a flight. Active infection, inflamed or weeping acne, cold sores or eczema in the treatment zone means the session is postponed until the skin has settled. Pregnancy and breastfeeding rule it out for the time being. A known allergy to fish or to salmon-derived proteins moves Rejuran Healer off the table and the conversation goes to another material. Uncontrolled medical conditions, a recent course of oral acne medication, and bleeding or clotting problems are assessed case by case, and a patient on blood thinners is told to expect more bruising.

There is also a group who are healthy and eligible and still get told no. If you came for volume, for a lifted jaw, or for a specific scar to disappear, a booster is the wrong purchase and the director will say so in the room before you pay for a course that cannot deliver what you came for.

Results

How a booster result builds over a course.

Nothing dramatic happens on day one. For the first day or two the skin is puffy and dotted with embossing, and that is what you will see in the mirror. From roughly the end of the first week the surface starts to read smoother and hold moisture better, and the change most patients notice first is how their make-up sits.

Because the material works on the dermal environment, a single visit is a starting point and a course is where the category earns its reputation. The clinic puts the duration of a Rejuran Healer effect at about three to six months, which is the practical basis for planning repeat visits and for scheduling maintenance around your own travel.

Outcomes differ by age, skin thickness, sun history, smoking, sleep and how consistently you use sunscreen afterwards. Individual results may vary, and no clinic can predict a specific outcome for a specific face. Any case material G Clinic publishes elsewhere is shared with patient consent and is provided for information only. What your own director can do is tell you at consultation what is realistic for your skin, and say plainly when you would get more from a different treatment.

Safety & Care

Named risks of skin booster injections.

A booster is an injectable procedure and carries the risks of one. Bruising is common, particularly around the eyes and along the jaw. Redness, swelling and tenderness are expected for the first day or two. Embossing, the raised bumps at the injection points, is normal for one to three days. Less often, patients develop firm nodules or lumps that take longer to resolve, pigment change at an injection point, a longer-lasting bruise, infection at an entry site, or an allergic reaction to the injected material. Very occasionally an injection can be placed badly enough to damage a vessel, which is one of several reasons the clinic keeps injecting in the directors’ hands.

Lower the odds by telling your director everything before the needle comes out: current medications and supplements, anything that thins the blood, previous reactions to injectables or anaesthetic, autoimmune conditions, recent dental work, and any material already placed in your face by another provider. Do not book a booster within days of a major event. Contact the clinic promptly if pain, redness or swelling increases after the first two days, if a lump hardens, or if the skin blanches or discolours; a resident medical director is on site during opening hours to look at it. Published research on these materials is summarised in the evidence section below.

Downtime

Embossing, downtime and aftercare in Seoul.

Downtime for a booster is measured in days, not weeks. Daily life continues the same day; the clinic’s own guidance is that the embossing eases within one to three days. Most patients are comfortable in make-up from the following day, once the injection points have closed. Bruises, where they appear, follow their usual week-or-so course and cover easily.

For the first day, leave the treated skin alone: no scrubbing, no strong actives, no heavy make-up brushes over fresh injection points. Skip the sauna, the jjimjilbang, hot yoga and heavy exercise for a couple of days, since heat and flushing make swelling worse. Alcohol on the same evening deepens bruising. Sunscreen every morning matters more after a booster than before one.

If you are flying in for treatment, book the booster early in your Seoul stay so a director can look at the skin again before you leave, and keep the embossing days away from the evening you actually want to look your best. Patients combining skin work with body contouring at the clinic usually take the body procedure first and the booster later in the trip, and the coordination team sequences both around your travel dates.

Scientific Evidence

What the published literature covers on injectable regenerative materials.

Two material families carry most of the peer-reviewed work behind the booster category. The first is polydeoxyribonucleotide, or PDRN, the DNA-fragment family that polynucleotide preparations belong to; a 2025 review in the Journal of Biotechnology and Bioindustry surveys its established efficacy and the directions current research and development is taking (Kim, 2025). The second is poly-L-lactic acid, examined in a 2025 paper in Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology that sets out volumetric data supporting regenerative outcomes in facial rejuvenation (Angelo-Khattar, 2025). Delivery method has been studied too: a 2024 comparison in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology measured the therapeutic performance of needle injection against a needle-free jet injector system for polynucleotide filler in skin rejuvenation (Hong, 2024). These papers describe the material categories as studied in the literature. They are not statements about outcomes at G Clinic, which your director discusses case by case at consultation.

FAQ

Skin booster questions from international patients.

Is Rejuran Healer the same thing as a skin booster?

Rejuran Healer is one product within the skin booster category, and it is the one most patients name when they arrive. The category also covers Juvelook, Re2O and Belotero Revive on the G Clinic menu. They share a delivery idea, which is placing material into the dermis across a zone, and they differ in what that material is and what it is chosen for.

How long does a skin booster appointment take?

Rejuran Healer takes roughly 15 to 30 minutes for the injection itself. Plan for around an hour in the clinic, because the numbing cream needs time on cleansed skin before treatment starts, and cooling and aftercare follow afterwards. A first visit takes longer still, since the consultation with your director comes first and it is not rushed.

What is embossing, and how long do the bumps last?

Embossing is the pattern of small raised bumps left where the material was placed in the dermis. It is the ordinary appearance of a booster session, and the clinic states that it eases naturally within one to three days. Most patients are comfortable wearing make-up from the day after treatment. Cold compresses and leaving the skin alone help it settle on schedule.

How many sessions will I need, and how often?

Boosters are planned as a course, because they work on the dermal environment over time. The clinic puts the duration of a Rejuran Healer effect at about three to six months, which sets the practical rhythm for maintenance. The exact number of visits depends on your skin condition and is agreed with your director at the free consultation, never sold as a fixed package before you are examined.

Will a skin booster lift my face or fill hollow areas?

No. A booster works on skin quality: hydration, texture, pores, elasticity and fine lines. It does not reposition a descending jawline and it does not restore lost volume in the temples or mid-face. If that is your goal, your director will tell you at consultation and point you towards the treatment category that actually addresses it.

Does a skin booster injection hurt?

A numbing cream is applied and left to work before treatment, so most patients describe the injections as tolerable rather than comfortable. Bony areas such as the forehead and the jaw border feel sharper than the cheeks. You stay awake throughout and can ask the director to pause at any point, which many patients find reassuring on a first visit.

Will I be sedated for the treatment?

No. Booster sessions are done with you awake under a numbing cream, and you can talk with the team the whole time. Sedation is not part of a booster appointment. Where a patient asks for it in connection with another procedure, it is an optional extra at additional cost, and the director discusses what is appropriate before anything is arranged.

What are the risks I should know about?

Bruising, redness, swelling, tenderness and the embossing bumps are the common short-term effects. Less frequently, patients see firm nodules, pigment change at an injection point, infection at an entry site, or an allergic reaction to the injected material. Your director goes through each of these in the room before you decide, and the clinic is reachable if anything worsens after the first two days.

Who should not have a skin booster at G Clinic?

Treatment is postponed for active infection, inflamed acne, cold sores or eczema in the zone, and it is ruled out during pregnancy and breastfeeding. A known allergy to fish or salmon-derived proteins takes Rejuran Healer off the table. Bleeding disorders, blood thinners, a recent course of oral acne medication and uncontrolled medical conditions are assessed individually, and the director will decline where treating you is not appropriate.

Can I combine a booster with other treatments in one trip?

Often yes, with sensible sequencing. Many patients pair skin work with body contouring such as G-fat Fat Dissolving Injection, taking the body procedure earlier in the stay and the booster later so the embossing days fall where they matter least. Your director decides the order after examining you, and will space treatments out where combining them in one visit would be unwise.

Is G Clinic certified for the products it injects?

G Clinic is a Juvelook Official Certified Clinic, certified by VAIM Global. Certifications of this kind are issued by the product supplier and describe the clinic’s standing with that supplier. All booster consultations and injections are carried out by the three resident medical directors, who are board-certified Family Medicine specialists practising in aesthetic dermatology.

How soon before a wedding or an event should I book?

Leave a clear margin. The embossing settles in one to three days, but bruising can run for a week and skin condition keeps improving for several weeks after a session. Booking two to four weeks ahead of an event gives the skin time to settle and to show the change, and it leaves room for a follow-up visit if your director wants to see the area again.

How do I arrange a booster consultation from abroad?

Send your details and travel dates through the consultation form and our coordinators will reply in your language and hold a slot around your itinerary. Consultation at the clinic is free, English is spoken on site, and you can ask about materials, the number of visits and rates before you commit to anything at all.
