A G-fat visit runs longer than an injection appointment because fat is physically removed. After the plan agreed at consultation is confirmed, the director marks the area, cleans the skin, and infiltrates local anaesthetic. Once the area is numb, a micro-entry point is made, the G-Lifting cannula pass is completed, and the extraction cannula draws the fat out into a large collection chamber, so there is no stopping to swap syringes mid-procedure.
One area usually means one visit. G Clinic does not cap the volume taken from an area, and pricing is set per area, so the director can extract what the contour needs without counting cubic centimetres. A second visit is planned only when you and your director agree that more is wanted once the swelling has settled.
G-fat tends to suit people who carry a defined volume of fat in one place and want it removed in one visit: a lower belly that stays despite a stable weight, firm upper arms, saddlebags, or inner thighs that rub. The best candidates are in good general health and want a clearer line in a specific area, with realistic expectations about the skin around it.
The director will decline or delay treatment in some situations. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, uncontrolled medical conditions, and certain medications rule it out for the time being. Patients with a BMI of 30 or above are assessed case by case, and a surcharge applies. Where the main issue is loose skin with little fat, or where fibrous adhesions remain from an earlier procedure, the director may suggest G-Tight, an ultrasound-based option, or a different plan altogether.
Because the fat is taken out during the visit, the reduction in volume is immediate. What you see in the first days is that reduction plus swelling, and the final contour shows as the swelling goes down and the skin settles over the following weeks; the G-Lifting pass is designed to help the skin re-adhere smoothly during that period.
Results differ from person to person and depend on the area, the amount removed, skin elasticity, and how your weight moves afterwards. The extracted cells are removed from the treated area, but the remaining cells can still enlarge with weight gain, so a stable weight protects the change. G-fat is a minimally invasive procedure, and it carries the risks of one. Bruising, swelling, tenderness, and numbness around the treated area are expected in the first days. Less commonly, patients can develop surface irregularity, a small fluid collection, firm nodules, skin laxity, temporary changes in skin sensation, infection at the entry point, or asymmetry between sides. Your director goes through each of these with you before you decide.
To lower those risks, share your full medical history, current medications and supplements, and any past reactions to anaesthetic. Follow the compression and activity advice you are given, keep the entry point clean, and contact the clinic promptly if pain, redness, or swelling increases after the first days. A resident medical director is on site, so there is always a doctor available to review the area.
Most people leave the clinic on their own and return to desk work or light daily activity the same day. The entry point is tiny and closes quickly. Swelling and bruising peak in the first two to three days and then ease; firmer areas can feel tender for a week or two. Compression garments and the clinic’s body-care programme help the skin settle evenly, and sessions on devices such as Noble Shape, MPR, and Coolshape can be added for laxity or cellulite.

Removing fat by suction under local anaesthesia, without sedation or general anaesthesia, is a well-documented approach in the peer-reviewed literature. A consecutive series of 3,240 cases reported on the safety of liposuction performed exclusively under tumescent local anaesthesia (Habbema, 2009), and earlier work established the lidocaine dosing that makes an awake procedure practical (Coleman, 1996).
